1. SECURE band on the wrist with dimpled side up (smooth side down), leaving enough space to insert 2 fingers.
2. APPLY sunscreen liberally and evenly to the Band and all exposed skin 20 minutes before sun exposure, or getting wet.
3. ACTIVATE the Band by exposing it to direct sunlight. It will change to a dark purple, within 1-2 minutes. 
4. REAPPLY sunscreen to the skin and the Band when the Band changes to a mauve colour.
5. COVER UP or AVOID the sun when the Band changes to a pale cream. You have reached your maximum daily UV exposed. Your Band has finished monitoring UV and is not reusable.
6.  Remove the Band. Dispose in a recycling bin.
